Of course, I'm talking about Juiced 2. Seriously, going from mediocre race game on a project that was dropped before the company it was subsequently owned by goes under for bankruptcy (or some shit like that) to being an even worse game under some other company's leadership due to the fact that they apparently were too rushed to get an unfinished project off their hands and were foolish enough to release it while it was obviously unfinished in my opinion, to now being a completely celebrated sequel under that same company and what they've done for the commercial is just rather sickening. Honestly, when I think simple and enjoyable racing, I think Need for Speed. That is, until I hit the Drag races, those can die in a car fire, no pun intended. But honestly, the first game was a steaming pile of crap when compared to other titles in it's category and I seriously don't feel that the upcoming installment will be any different. Plus, honestly... I think that gamers are being generalized to be nothing but a large group of guys who buy games with a thought process originating from their pants. Apparently, to the marketing world, we as gamers are nothing but a large group of lifeless, sexually depraved videophiles. Moreso, I don't understand how someone could find these women attractive when they are presented in this way. Come on, guys and lesbians alike, how can you consider a woman sexy when she has simply dressed like a whore for a video game commercial?
Sadly, this same kind of thing is all over the place though, and I really don't understand why, we as a society, who generally provokes the same complaints from all areas about this subject, manages to sell almost everything based on a sex factor. "Please guys and gals, buy this car magazine because of the attractive female in a bikini spread upon the hood of the vehicle." Didn't video game commercials used to be about displaying an interesting game, action, cool CG footage, etc.? Though I know that this thought process isn't going to fix anything or go anywhere, but I am heavily inclined to either ignore something that is marketted based on this idea entirely, or at least until it is second hand and my money will not go to the assholes who put the marketing ideas together. Enough of my rampage.
Aldrasio is finally back in the saddle, at least a little bit, for the time being. And has graced us with yet another of his works. This one even has a chance of making it into the final cut when we release if Kamelot gives us the ok! The song is Kamelot - The Black Halo and it actually runs quite well.
In other news we may be signing on CMCM possibly effective as soon as tomorrow. Other than his work on Insomnia, I'm not quite familiar with anything else he's done so I'm looking forward to check out this group of sims that he's given me (in the 50+ range of songs) that has yet to be seen by a large amount of the world. Kinda makes me feel special, haha. At any rate, tomorrow, after I awake and eat, I'll be spending some time going through this HUGE submission and checking to see if any of it makes the cut. Something tells me that if his style keeps up a quality seen in Insomnia's step patterns, then I won't be disappointed.
See you next time, kiddies!
