This is the first, and oh dear God, hopefully the last update that I'll be writing on the Windows Vista OS. Honestly, I haven't had a lot of firsthand experience with the OS up until now, I'd seen other people struggle through it and the whole time just thought they didn't quite know what they were doing. Now I have been humbled in that view by this absolute fucking train wreck that is nonstop bells and whistles with no actual operating system. Everything that I use as an advanced user is either gone or extremely hidden under endless horseshit. This experience is worthy of my hate.
In other news I should be able to get back to simfiling soon, I know several have noticed that there was a sudden surge that produced a small, yet decent amount of sims in a couple of weeks then it suddenly stopped again, one problem in relation to this happening has been resolved and the other... basically is this, I'm trying to keep things mixed up, I'm trying to continue in a varietous manner so that people won't really know what to expect next and that when it happens, it's a big surprise. I'm sure that of the few people who knew about There she is!! were quite pleased with its appearance here and were also quite shocked to see me put them together when considering my normal style. Now I'd really love to keep that type of thing going, but trying to keep up with a constantly changing style isn't the problem, finding the content is. And I'm not really very much into the idea of grabbing whatever "might" work out or things that are just too damn silly (borderline stupid, regardless of entertainment) to be worked on seriously. Even with that, I fairly certain things will be moving again shortly.
One last note, we're still going through revisions on the new design for this site. I remember having posted a picture of an early revision in a much older update but that look is not even remotely what we're doing right now. It's actually turning out to be a lot better than I expected, visually, and is likely to be a lot more efficient than originally anticipated. Not to mention the forum soon to come... speaking of which, bit of an update on that, the forum is up and running but I'm not publicly releasing it at this time. We'll be sharing a forum with StepManiaThings.com and the forum will become available after their revamp. Actually it is quite likely that both of our sites will be a whole hell of a lot different when that forum becomes available. Special thanks to WinDEU for being a moderator in VirInPro's forums.
